Bearded head of Leukippos to right, wearing Corinthian helmet decorated with Nike driving fast quadriga to right on the bowl and a tiny hippocamp right on the side; behind, forepart of lion to right and AΠH. Rev. [M]ETAΠONTINΩN Barley ear with leaf to left; above leaf, vertical club with head below; below leaf, [AMI]. HN Italy 1574. Johnston Class B, 1.7. SNG ANS 431. A well centered example with a fine head of Leukippos. Minor traces of corrosion, otherwise, very fine.
